Noordwest Hospital Group is changing its operations department into a supply & demand organization. Contract and Supplier Management (CSM) is of central importance in this new setup. Noordwest Hospital Group wanted give CSM clearer outlines and more substance. Besides focusing on the development of a model, the knowledge of the staff involved also had to be developed. NOORDWEST HOSPITAL GROUP asked Hospitality Group to set up and supervise a hands-on development path for CLM.
Eight employees (ranging from contract and supplier managers, service assistants and accommodation officers to purchasing professionals) took part in the development programme. Topics of the meetings included professional commissioning, stakeholder management, performance management and information management. The focus was on knowledge transfer and case studies.
During the process, the group was very enthusiastic and focused. The group dynamics led to sharp and high-quality results. The outcomes were a practicable CLM model for hotel service and technical services, and a plan of action for warranting the project results.
