With customer focus and hospitality being an important part of their strategic vision, Radboud university medical center asked Hospitality Group to elaborate the restaurant concept. Hospitality Group then translated the concept into a functional design, technical design and interior design.
Its approach included a search for the ultimate guest journey for all user groups. After all, each user group comes to the hospital with its own goal and expectations. They may be colleagues having lunch together, patients who leave their room for a chat or to enjoy the bustle of the restaurant, or students working together on an assignment.
Suitable for everybody
The old-fashioned cafetaria was replaced by a modern and stylish restaurant with a high experiantial value for all user groups in the medical center. With opening hours extended to evenings and weekends, the restaurant now welcomes visitors for a fresh roll, hot meal or cup of coffee. Visitors can eat at high tables, relax on a lounge bench or work in the work area with wifi. “Thanks to the good collaboration with Hospitality Group the area is suitable for everybody and for all sorts of purposes,” says Lourens Pouwer, Logistics & Services Manager at Radboud university medical center. He is proud of the multidisciplinary collaboration and the integrated approach to the concept and design.
