To realise its growth aspirations in the Netherlands, the management of Sodexo Netherlands was looking for a Sales & Business Development Director for Government. This is a large market segment, going through sweeping changes in practically all dimensions, such as requested added value, client organisations, stakeholder management and contract forms.
For this position Sodexo was looking for a commercial strategist with good organisational skills, who can translate the changes in this segment into clear propositions within an intelligent sales and marketing strategy for Sodexo’s services, specifically aimed at the quality of life of its guests and service users at the Ministries of Justice, Defence and other government bodies.
Sodexo asked Hospitality Group to fill this position through an Executive Search. Sodexo’s main reasons for engaging an external recruitment partner were the available network, the ability to spar about the market and relevant competencies, and to accelerate the recruitment process. In six weeks time the candidates were presented to the client, and after ten weeks Sodexo completed the recruitment process successfully with the appointment of the Sales & Business Development Director.
