The Facility Affairs & Operations team of the municipality of Nissewaard aims to make the transition to a supply and demand (S&D) management organisation. An S&D organisation where the actual execution of the work is contracted out as much as possible, and where the focus is on improving the processes from the perspective of users and service provision. To assist the team with the next step and supervise a number of tender procedures the municipality of Nissewaard engaged an interim manager of Hospitality Group.
Nicky took on the role of facility project consultant. Together with the team coordinator she was responsible for assisting the Facility Affairs & Operations team in their transition to an S&D management organisation. She supported employees in this transition, gave workshops on this subject and helped compose new sets of duties. She also helped to optimise operational processes. In addition to the S&D-related activities she acted as a project manager in the projects:
- European tender for cleaning services and implementation of new working method for approx. 60 field locations.
- Contracting out of catering for the restaurant facilities in the city hall, including events/banqueting.
- Organising and implementing contract management for all facility contracts, including coaching of employees, creating support and communication to suppliers.
- Organising service level contracts for all services provided to third parties within municipal buildings.
The client rated Nicky’s efforts with 8.7 points out of 10. Especially her expertise, professionalism and contract-related skills got high marks.
