Spaarne Hospital in Haarlem wants to be a most welcoming hospital to its patients, visitors, guests and personnel. To bring hospitality to a higher level, it sought the help of Hospitality Group. “A creative partner who’s not afraid of thinking outside the box,” says Pepijn van Gestel, Service Manager at Spaarne Hospital.

“I found the ideas of Hospitality Group very appealing,“ he adds. “The advisors made a blueprint of the new way of eating and drinking in Spaarne Hospital.” Our hospitality has now been raised to a higher level with a new meal service focusing on personal attention, individual habits and diets, and the patients’ freedom of choice and ability to do things independently. In addition, pampering and pleasant surprises are very important. And this is not only directed to patients, but also includes family and friends.

Personal attention

Together with the staff of the hospital’s hotel service, great efforts were made to improve patient services even further. To ensure that hospitality and service staff in the nursing wards are also sufficiently knowledgeable and skilled, Hospitality Group provided training to 150 employees on hospitality, product presentation and hospitable sales techniques.
