The Victoria Hotel in Amsterdam is one of the oldest modern hotels in the Netherlands and a listed building. The hotel is located opposite Amsterdam Central Train Station, making it a perfect accommodation for business guests and tourists with its luxurious facilities and meeting facilities. The Victoria Hotel asked Hospitality Group to transform the traditional breakfast restaurant into a multifunctional restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
With several well thought-out solutions we have put this into practice. For example, during breakfast the chilled products are presented on ice that freezes directly on the top of the buffet. In the afternoon the same place is used for cutting the meat, for example. The hot components on the buffet are kept at the right temperature by induction plates that are mounted invisibly under the top of the buffet. The warmer lamps above the buffet are fitted to a lighting rail across the entire width of the buffet and can therefore be used or removed.
In the concept a lot of attention has been paid to the guest experience. For example, the buffet has an open kitchen, so you can see the products being freshly prepared and have direct contact with the chef about specific (diet) requirements.
Besides the breakfast buffet Hospitality Group also built two bars, one in the restaurant and one in the lobby. The bars have been designed in such a way that employees can easily cater to different orders throughout the day, from preparing a cappuccino to the most complex cocktail.
