New work environment for HLB Blömer

New work environment for HLB Blömer

The termination of the lease was for HLB Blömer accountants en advisers, based in Nieuwegein, the Netherlands, the ideal moment to take a closer look at their accommodation. Together with a commercial property agent they explored the accommodation options in Utrecht. In the end, they decided to redevelop their current property in collaboration with Hospitality Group.

HLB Blömer knew exactly how the ground floor should look, but still decided to call in the experts of Hospitality Group. “They look further and have ideas about the practical translation of specific wishes regarding the building,” says Esther van Huizen, responsible for accommodation, IT, human resources and front-office at Blömer.

Economical and professional process

Because HLB wanted its employees to contribute ideas on the desired functionality, Hospitality Group set up a guest journey to define the wishes and needs. Hospitality Group also helped with designing the new floor layout, made the definitive design, drew up the Terms of Reference, supervised the tender process and conducted the negotiations.
“Combining our knowledge of the organizational culture with Hospitality Group expertise in workplace design, we created a total package of wishes and requirements together. Turning these wishes into practical solutions was especially of added value to us,” says Esther, who looks back on a pleasant collaboration and excellent after sales. Hans Odijk, partner at HLB, adds: “Hospitality Group added the finer details to the plans and in this way really dotted the i’s and crossed the t’s.”

Dotting the i’s

The ground floor of the traditional building with its narrow entrance, confined spaces and large reception desk now has been transformed into an open, well-lit space where consultation, reception and meeting take center stage. With a contemporary appeal it is appropriate for HLB Blömer as a modern employer.
