Deloitte has been outsourcing its facility services as IFM in the Netherlands for the past 10 years. Although Deloitte is happy with the service of its current IFM partner, it is examining the ideal sourcing model for the future. Deloitte asked Hospitality Group for support in analysing this issue.

The assignment started with an assessment of the current situation, which not only involved a document study, but also ten interviews with different stakeholders at Deloitte, including internal clients. Together with the management team of Deloitte Workplace Services the sourcing targets were identified and prioritized, and an inventory was made of various sourcing scenarios, which were then elaborated. The different sourcing scenarios were assessed in a joint workshop.

Subsequently we worked out the winning scenario, and substantiated it with a detailed business case and a market analysis. In addition, we developed a design for the future supply-demand organisation that fits the preferred sourcing scenario, which was then detailed at the level of roles, positions and competencies.

The result is a sourcing strategy that is substantiated in qualitative and quantitative terms, and a design for the supply-demand organisation that enjoys wide support throughout Deloitte Workplace Services.
